Jacob’s Ladder The Canadian Foundation for Control of Neurodegenerative Disease was started by Ellen and Jeff Schwartz when their son Jacob was diagnosed with Canavan’s disease. A few years later when we had our Jacob diagnosed with PMD we contacted the Schwartz’s. Jeff and Ellen graciously agreed to work together with us and arranged to have a special PMD fund inside their existing charitable organization, Jacob’s Ladder. Marcy is a member of Jacob’s Ladder and attends its regular board meetings.
Thus far, Jacob’s Ladder and Cure PMD have been raising funds independently for different purposes. If you wish to donate funds to the Cure PMD effort, we ask that you specifically specify the PMD fund when you make your donation to Jacob’s Ladder. Thank you for your support and generosity.

A Tribute or In Memorandum card will be sent at your request. Please fill in the donation form, including name and address of recipient, personal message and how you would like to sign the card.
